There's a sight somewhere with a bunch of sub data for any lever gun cartridge. While keeping in mind I only have 100 or so rounds of 45-70 loaded with TiteGroup I've been very impressed. 10.0 grains, hitek coated 405's, Starline brass, and getting SD's of 3.6/ES of 10 for a 10 shot string. Average velocity was 1015.The pistol powders that have been mentioned work also for just plinking at very low speed c1000 fps. I use H4198, Varget, RL 7 and Trailboss. Marlin League #54.
